One thing I will add to people trying to minimize their calorie intake, is watch HOW you eat your meals. Chew your food slowly, really enjoy the food, and allow your mind to catch up with the fact that you could be full before you keep pounding food down. Don't watch TV or do anything while eating. Focus on the food and enjoy it. It will allow you to eat less possibly. Also, reduce your stress levels and avoid food additives that contribute to cravings, such as artificial colors and sweeteners.
