I do have a compassion for these people to a point and yes food can be an addiction just like drugs or alcohol. I weighed almost 300 pounds (280.5) to be exact a few years ago. I am still at it as of today. Because of the pandemic I am unable to get to appointments with my nutritionist for nearly 6 months and it could be a while before I am able to go in person. They are done over the phone at the current time so it is a very challenging time for me but I am still keeping at it. But I chose to get help it was 100 % my own decision before it got out of hand and so I wouldn't need surgery which is NOT a solution it is only part of it as these people seem to think it will be the answer. If only it was but sorry no such thing. They have to help themselves and yes they have to want to lose weight if not they are just wasting everyone's time. It involves alot more than just losing weight, it involves changing your entire lifestyle and no it is not easy but that is life! Anyone CAN do it!!! It is called EFFORT!!!!
