  1. METH: lost about 18lbs in fat, 1/2 lbs of brain muscle and a 30-40 hour week job.

  2. OMAD, which is here on Youtube.( 8:16 is good, too.) You don't have to join a plan or buy a book, and you see results quickly.

  3. Join the Army, I dropped 40 lbs during basic, and gained em right back (and some more, besides) after leaving it, lol

  4. A lot of the time, we eat just because we're bored. If you can avoid boredom, it's easier to stick to a diet.

  5. amputation. takes less than a day and removes a lot of weight. plus, without arms, you can't stuff too much into your mouth again, as you have to rely on others to feed you.
liposuction also helps, yet you should really be carefull and go to a certified doctor, not uncle bob 'round the back with his industrial vacuum cleaner. it ain't a pretty scene, I tell ya.
alternatively, if you don't want to be that extreme, just eat with moderation. doesn't matter, what you eat, or when, or how often. don't eat until you're close to bursting, eat only until you're not hungry anymore. a certain amount of lazyness will help you a lot, though, as being too lazy to go to the store around the corner for chips or candy will strongly reduce your intake of them. will only work if you're living alone, as others might go to the store and buy it for themselves, and you'll end up eating it, defeating your goal as well as creating tension with your roommates.
getting a stronger cold or other not extreme disease also reduces hunger and, therefore, your food intake, so you'll lose weight as well.

  6. Some info that really gives good perspective:
    >The average adult male burns 2500 calories/day just by existing.
    >One pound of fat is roughly 3500 calories.
This means that if an average adult male only eats 2000 calories of food a day, they will lose about 1 lb every week. Giving them some wiggle-room for mistakes: that's about 4 lbs/month or 48 lbs/year. Just by cutting 500 calories a day.

  7. you really do only need a caloric deficit unless you have some condition that prevents you from losing weight.

i’ve lost 80lbs so far (288 to 208) and i have never cut out food i love. i mean i haven’t had soda since 2017 any way so it was easy to not drink.

  8. (i did not intend for this text to be sooo long, but here are some tips and tricks if you're trying to lose weight)
i've lost 2,6 kg since the beginning of the year, still eating chips every week and fast food here and there. i'm always eating under 1800 calories, haven't really changed my diet at all, just eating less of what i already ate. it's not supposed to be a diet, it's a lifestyle change. if you won't be able to keep it up it for the rest of your life you're doing it wrong. and DON'T think of foods as bad and good or a "cheat meal", that's just gonna make you crave them even more. you're allowed to eat whatever you want but after a while you're going to realize that spending all of your calories on foods that doesn't give you the nutrients you need makes you feel crappy. there's no need to cut out certain foods to lose weight, if you're not allowed to have something you're gonna want it even more. you want to eat chips on a friday night? my trick is to put in those chips in the app i use (myfitnesspal) in the morning, that way i can clearly see how many calories i have left for actual food. i always buy bags of chips that are around 100g so that i can eat the whole thing, that makes me feel more satisfied than eating the same amount from a bigger bag. it's easy to trick the brain, i hate throwing away food so even if i'm full i WILL keep eating. it's better to use a smaller plate and take a second portion if you're still hungry than using a bigger plate and eating more than you actually want or need.
i really want to cut my hair so i made a deal with myself, when i get under a certain weight and stay under it for a week i'm allowed to cut my hair. that's giving me a reason to keep going and i also get to celebrate the weight loss with something other than food.
eating too much one day is not gonna ruin your progress, you did not gain weight overnight and you're not gonna lose it that way either. keep going and don't let anyone or anything stop you, we can do this!

  9. – The deal is calories in vs calories out. You can control the 'in' part, the 'out' part is much tougher and it's also hard to measure exactly how much you get out. Exercise and some stuff you eat can help with the 'out' part. MyFitnessPal can give you a rough idea on how much 'out' you get but don't treat it as gospel. Some medical conditions can impact how many calories you take out, so watch out for that.
    – Drink only water (sparkling variant if you have to have gasses in it), tea and maybe coffee without sugar. If you need sweeteners, go for something like cinnamon.
    – Cut dough-based stuff (breads, pizzas, cakes etc.) and processed sugar. Fruits are great, but in excess they can also be calory intensive.
    – Many people eat too much carbs. Cut them, but not entirely. Your body still needs them to function.
    – Avoid pre-made sauces, those are calory and sugar intensive. Prepare them by yourself instead. Homemade Tehina and Hummus are great ones.
    – Cardio is healthy for you, but it will not affect your weight-loss that much. HIIT, on the other hand, will do wonders, but it is extremely intensive so do at your own risk. If you keen about Cardio, probably the best option will be swimming, as running tends to have long-term implications on your body.
    – As you lose weight, you will lose both fat and muscle mass. To counteract the muscle loss, do strength exercises. Larger stronger muscles require more energy to function, thus it will help you. Keep in mind though that it can also make you more hungry.
    – Weight isn't a good metric for health. BMI is an improvement but it still generalizes too much. The best metric would be body-fat percentage. You can look skinny and still be fat and it is as dangerous as being full-on fat.

  10. Yall dont just diet, or just exercise.. you will do your metabolism dirty.

  11. eat less, work more. don't let them know what you're against or what you're for.

    you can't be serious.

  12. Fasting works for me I use it for a time of reflecting and I count and cut some calories here and there.

I cut calories really hard for like two weeks and lost 18 pounds. I’d eat breakfast and dinner for dessert coffee and possibly one cookie. I wouldn’t get seconds or anything like that just one meal per setting. Another time I lost 5 pounds in 7 days.. As someone who has a hormonal disorder (and insulin resistance) I have to cut calories in order for me to lose weight better. The fasting I just drink water it’s once a month.

And no fasting is not an eating disorder. Some religions do it for religion observances. To name a few Islam, Judaism, Christianity, paganism (and many more).

  13. I lost about 130 pounds, 255 to 125. I'm back up to about 140 now. It took two or three years to drop the bulk of it. Kept it all off for the past 7 years now. The things that worked for me were switching to tea instead of soda, actively watching the type and amount of foods I was eating, and 6 miles a day of biking then 12 miles a day of biking. Basically a change of general diet, regular exercise 5-6 days a week for years, and continued determination to lose the weight. Life is better when your thighs don't rub each other raw on a short walk.

  14. Be careful of tracking your calories with MyFitnessPal. If you do it obsessively, it might become a foe instead of a friend. Try calorie counting for a few weeks, then when you know more or less how many calories you are eating daily, lose the scrutiny of tracking and weighing your food. Goodluck on the weightloss journey, everyone!

  15. As a 16 year old who has suffered with multiple eating disorders, including binge eating disorder, plan your 'treat days' . If I plan one once a month where I can just eat whatever I want it keeps me on track and excited to eat bad foods. Like mine is next Monday to celebrate hitting 165lbs (sw was 186 CW is 167) so it keeps me on track. I bought a brownie mix and havent had them in a while. I'll also not exercise on that day. I need to get my body used to all kinds of foods and random exercise days, especially as I'm going to college in September and will not have the time everyday. It's more of a mental battle to eat 1500kcals or more but I try and eat enough … thanks for reading

  16. this is a weird tip that ive been using:
if you want a small unhealthy snack (which you can afford to have and will fit into your calories and macros) have it. not a lot of it, just a bit. now once you've eaten it, drink a cup of water and rinse your mouth. dont know why but it really helps me to forget about the taste of junk and not want to eat more.

also, dont rely on yourself stopping when satisfied. give yourself smaller portions and eat it all. for me, thinking that i could plate a huge meal and have the discipline to only eat half of it failed me.

  17. I went from 115 to 109 and now I'm not losing but gaining instead? I'm eating within 1200-1400 calories and drinking tons of water

  18. My grandfather died and I started watching Susie J Todd's videos. She's actually overweight and seeing her exercising and losing weight without some crazy diets opened my eyes. I honestly had never seen before those "I tried the Victoria's secrets for a week" type of video from someone with my body type and that motivated me a lot to go look after my health

  19. You know what, that left hand eating sounds like a good idea…I think I might give that a try…

  20. I always over ate, I started cutting out one ‘meal’ just so I could make a caloric deficit, then started eating healthy food, and started exercising.

  21. Also, chew slowly! It gives your stomach enough time to signal your brains when you're full. Also beneficial for your bowels. I take time in between bites, to lengthen my meal time. Adding loads of herbs and spices to your food helps too; it makes a meal more filling than foods with just salt and pepper. And it makes you thirsty so you'll drink more (water!)

  22. The soda one! I used to be a sucker for Mr. Pibb and drank so much soda once I started living in a dorm. I probably only drank like one or two bottles of water a day and was constantly dehydrated because the majority of what I drank was soda and Starbucks. Now, I drink water almost exclusively (with the exception of a cup of coffee in the morning and green tea). I drink almost a gallon of water a day. Sometimes when I get really thirsty during a workout, I think I want a soda, but it’s actually water I’m craving. After my workout, I drink a bottle of water and my craving goes away. At this point in my journey, I can’t really stand the thought of drinking a soda. Just not worth it.

  23. I`ve been on a weightloss journey since late december, and have so far lost 50lbs. My advice for anyone trying to lose weight or wanting to start to, is make your calories count. Don`t eat empty calories like fatty, junky, and overall starcy, sugary or carb filled foods, it is just guaranteed to slow down your weightloss and it won`t satisfy your hunger. Eat nutritional meals, have a balanced amount of food and eat from smaller plates to trick your brain into thinking you`re eating more. Don`t drink your calories, and even if only a small walk every day do it, as all ecersize no matter how small can make a difference. Portion control is also a big key, but also don`t go the other way and completely skip meals as you may find yourself craving foods and the likelihood of binging increases, instead eat small but frequent meals as it helps appease your hunger and also speeds up metabolism. And if you crave it allow yourself a small treat once in a while, for example half a tub of halo tub once in a while won`t completley halt your weightloss.

And remember you can do this! Stay motivated and you can reach your goal!

  24. A good weight loss tip that actually works is to have an 80/20 diet. I learned this from Chloe Ting. 80% of your diet should be healthy eating, and 20% can be “cheat” meals or snacks. I’ve found while going on temporary diets that if I completely deprive myself of every non-healthy food I enjoy, I get discouraged and give up. Changing my mindset from “diet” to “lifestyle” helps me realize there is no “cheat” meal. I don’t have full days where I cheat, and I don’t starve myself the next day because I went over my recommended calorie intake that day. I eat a donut one day and move on with my healthy eating habits like normal the next day.

  25. You should ask what Food Addicts did to stop being food addicts. I'm struggling with this because I thought it was binge eating but turns out it was food addiction. Pls and thanks 🥰

  26. best thing that helped me was (now this is going to sound corny) but getting my heart broken helped a lot i’m down 15 pounds in 1 month

  27. The salad tip worked for me but I make my salads an appetizer. Full sized salad and a glass of water first, then have my actual dinner.
