  1. The Scottish soup looked good but the turnip that scots seem to use a lot as stock really is horrible. I would leave it out. Baxters soup uses a lot of turnip as stock. I hate it as the flavour is over powering what would be a good soup.

  2. I noticed on the chorizo soup you didn’t salt or pepper the soup but you added curry and chili powder. I cut the ingredients in half ( not a big hot spice fan) . I’m tempted to add either half /half or whole cream to smooth / sweeten the soup. I’ll wait until after I blend it to decide to see if it’s need. But what do you think about this twist on your recipe?

  3. With a strong possibility of an upcoming food crisis, these recipes may be actually life savers. Even without a food crisis, yum delicious dinners. Thank you 🙏

  4. Love the soup ideas! I have soup absolutely every day with joy :)! Love the high protein and high in vegetables lentils mixes. I'll def keep these in mind 🙂

  5. Coming back after making the Sweet potato and Chorizo soup. It was wonderful. I added a shredded cheese on top and it became addicting. Props to getting me to believe in soups.

  6. The secret ingredient for any vegetable soup is balsamic vinegar. One or two tablespoons, if it’s a big pot of soup you’d probably use two tablespoons but could start with adding one and do a taste test. Don’t use too much. In soup it doesn’t taste like vinegar – don’t worry. I can’t describe it but it enhances the soup flavor like crazy. I found this out through a recipe, ever since then I’ve used balsamic vinegar.

    * I wouldn’t add balsamic to any of the recipes in this video though, it’s more for classic style vegetable soup.

Another great flavor enhancer is Parmesan cheese. I sprinkle it on top of homemade vegetable soup. I usually make it with cabbage, onion, celery, carrots and usually a can of petite diced, peeled tomatoes.

  7. As a Scot of a certain age, that Ham Hough soup gave me some serious flashbacks to coming home from the pub on a Friday night.

Easiest flavour bomb soup of all time – the most difficult part is having the willpower to resist eating all the ham as you're picking it off the bone.
