Also, this doctor has no idea what she’s talking about as she says Wegovy is the same as tirzepatide. The two separate drugs. Wegovy is called. semaglutide which is a GLP1 medication.
Ware tirzepatide is a GLP1 and a GIP MEDICATION TOTALLY DIFFERENT DRUG DRUGS. Maybe before asking someone to come onto the program, ask them to do their research before misinforming your viewers.
These drugs should only be prescribed by, GP or weight loss specialist in my opinion, for people who are morbid obese. It infuriates me when you see people on tiktok etc buying them when they are too lazy to exercise or eat less just to loss a few pounds…
Funny how there is no moral outrage at the amount of alcohol that the British public consumes on a weekly basis. Or over eating. I don't hear anyone gasping "but what about the side effects???!!!"
I'm currently 4 stone over weight and I haven't lost any weight while restricted calories and exercising more frequently. It's something I'm considering to be perfectly honest. As someone who has been thinking their whole life up until my middle 20s I can see the affects weight has had on my body. I've had eating disorders before so again restricting my diet is already triggering and hard to wrap my head round without going to an extreme. Women face so many things that stop them from losing weight, birth control being 1.
What about the strain on the NHS with all the people admitted more than 400 Brits hospitalised — some with life-threatening complications — since the rollout of jabs such as Wegovy, Mounjaro and Saxenda.
