  1. My brain did a happy dance, I swear.

  2. Using Colin Powell as confident is a bit unlucky. That guy was confident that there WMDs in Iraq. There weren't any.

  3. none of it matters if what you are saying does not bring much to the table. confidence is like the cover of a book. It's like a cheap trick. Anyone can appear to be confident but once you dive into the contents of the first page you'll know right away, and what's worse is that you trust them even less than if they had not been confident because now you perceive them as attempting to have fooled you into wanting to think they are confident. You shouldn't neglect body language but if you hone your craft then the confidence will show by itself.

  4. 2:14 I prefer the rulers of my country to behave in this type of scenario-based manner, as if they are marching because it gives me a sense of security and statehood. They remind me of the communist times when my country was sovereign.

  5. I am not that confident… but working on it.
The most impressive thing here was: Convey – you dont need to convince.
This will guide me. – Thank you so much.

  6. No one is in command of any situation than one and only VLADIMIR PUTIN!

  7. I noticed that you didn’t bring any republican as an example of correct posture or body language.. are they all so hated??

  8. Becasreful with this, its not all true. I have adhd and many of the topics do not match with certain people. You will exclude or miss read many people and could cause more harm than trying to read someone. I know of stories that people were discredited ignored and resulted in a fatality. I have met thousands of people in my life. And there needs to be further research into this.

  9. So many of these behaviors can be caused by social anxiety, be careful when interpreting what they mean in other people! If you have social anxiety yourself, it can help to be aware of the signals these behaviors send even if you struggle to not do them.

  10. Eyebrow raise is wrong. When you're speaking to someone and you raise your eyebrows, this is made to get more attention from the listener, to what you are saying. not the opposite as she says. it's basic and she is wrong there.
Americans are super expressive. In other cultures, if you are listening and paying attention to something you find more interesting during the conversations you close your eyes a tiny bit to focus better but don't raise the eyebrows.

  11. Yet her legs stay crossed and closed off the entire time. Which either means 1. She's relaxed.. based on other body language signs.. 2. She's closed off.. based off online (Negative body language signs)

  12. I have also noticed that when a person becomes uncomfortable about what they are hearing they will pick up their glass and drink. You must pair that one with the context of the discussion but I always notice this.

  13. Appreciate your awesome work, Vanessa and team. Wish they taught our kids these powerful tools to help navigate life! Thank you so much!

  14. Its always delightful listening to this wonderful woman… BUT I have to admit cameraman caught up with my ADHD in big ways. see the camera was panning out when it should have been panning in and vice versa. let me explain… when the person talks to the camera, camera should pan in.. and when the person looks away, camera should pann out…. it's like a dance you see….. anyway.. just sayin (in case camera dude is reading) 😬😆😅

  15. I've also heard that people who talk with their hands are trying to dominate the situation. Gain control and are looking for agreements.

  16. Body language is not a cookie cutter ( in my opinion) for eg. the minute I cross my arms, that’s when I just gave you my 100 % attention. I always look away when telling the truth. Just an FYI 😊

  17. I think those could be different depending on culture or not ?!
I'm in the MENA region, which are spwcific and which are common to all humans in general?
    Thx

  18. I have seen YouTubers waving their hands with every word they say and it drives me nuts. It's over done!!!
How can I concentrate on what they are saying with all that distraction going on… like trying to wave off flies. 👎👎👎
