In this video clip, we’re going to speak about the most effective way to reduce weight if you’re postmenopausal.

I have actually done several various other videos on this topic where I cover five things:
1. Lower your carbohydrates to less than 10 grams
2. Rapid (one meal a day).
3. Add workout (and lengthy walks).
4. Get lots of quality rest.
5. Avoid alcohol.

What happens if you’re currently doing every one of these things, and you still can not seem to shed enough weight?

Initially, let’s speak about the pituitary. The pituitary gland produces various hormonal agents. One hormone is called FSH– its objective is to inform the ovaries to make estrogen.

Nonetheless, after menopause, your ovaries no longer create estrogen. This suggests that FSH levels remain high due to the fact that the ovaries do not send comments to lower FSH.

FSH likewise occurs to make fat. This is a large trouble since it can make weight loss really challenging.

After menopause, your cortisol levels increase. This might likewise add to difficulty reducing weight.

There are a number of things you can do to avoid these issues:.
1. Take Myo-inositol.
2. Take royal jelly.

  1. Myo-inositol really kicked me in abdominal fat loss. Took it for 3 months. 9 months later, I haven't gained any weight around the waist. I also do IF, low carb 4 days / week. Thank you for your amazing tips and knowledge. Oh, I'm 62.

  2. Sorry. Normally follow Dr Berg but he gave all the opposite advice here than Dr Sims advises…and she is a expert on WOMEN’S bodies which is VERY different from how men’s bodies are designed.

  3. I intermittent Fast Anywhere from 18 Hours to 24 Hours a Day wirh One regular protein mostly meal and a Snack Post Menopause… Before Post Menopause Fasting and Exercises kept me Buff… My New Levels of Estrogen are 11. and Progesterone 1.7 and Testosterone 18 But FSH is 99!!! 😮 So Off to Royal Jelly and Myo Inositol I Go!! Thank You Dr Berg ..I Tried Dchiro inositol but that didn't work….I Appreciate Your Wisdom…🤗…

  4. Dr.Berg, I use your supplements and I was wondering if you carry Myo-Inositol? Also, I just saw you on a video concerning pre-menopause, but you just agreed to use natural products to help support hormones, after a female doctor speaks about using BHB. Can you talk more about this please? do you carry BHB?

  5. What would you recommend doing if you had a total hysterectomy at 37 and are also on an aromatase inhibitor (estrogen blocker) for breast cancer? I’m 45 and have pretty much zero estrogen in my body, but have gained menopause weight. Can I still take the 2 supplements you suggested? Thank you so much!

  6. I’ve read fasting during menopause only raises your cortisol level because without eating your body is going through stress trying to hold on to your fat because it believes it’s in starvation mode 💀

  7. I am 59 years old, had a full Hysterectomy at 31 from ovarian cancer. So no ovaries, and I am sure my hormones are messed up. Already had Hyperthyroidism 2 years ago. I tried the Carnivore diet for 3 months, and cardio and not 1 pound lost. So now I have started IF and Keto 3 weeks ago and weight training 3x per week and walking daily. So far 1 pound. I also gave up coffee sweetener and drink it with MCT oil and butter now. I am IF fasting now about 20 hours a day eating 2 meals.

  8. Low carbs caused stress to my body. Pushed up my cortisol. Pushed up blood sugar. Interferes with sleep. Was told just fast longer. Made it all worse. Some women cannot do fasting or keto.

  9. I’m starting 2 meals per day instead of 1 and adding a lot more protein and strength training after I eat. I hope making these changes work. 44 year old here in post menopause. Was always fit then suddenly gaining stomach weight and couldn’t get it. No period for year but doc didn’t want to test FSH unless it had been a year no menstrual. Tested last week. My FSH came back 71! Post menopausal. I was always for high risk for ovarian and cervical cancer, so I’m afraid of raising my estrogen levels now that I’m in post menopause. It’s all so confusing. Woman have been going through this as long as we’ve existed yet nobody has this perfected or fully figured out yet! 🤦‍♀️ Also Dr Berg, do those with high risk of estrogen “influenced” cancers…should we still take things like myo-inositol? Thanks!!
