I think crash diets are good for starting better eating or help to get body sett for exercise or surgery
Its not always easy getting started or motivated
I did it in the 90's off and on for about 3 months and lost about 30lbs. While I did slowly put it back on over the next year or so I liked the diet. Putting it back on was my fault as I went back to my old habits. Looking to do it again but after hearing your video may modify it to include more lean protein and nutrients.
“No protein, no fat”
Day 4: unlimited amount of beef.
Wut?
You take ages to get into it
It's an encouraging start . It's so difficult to do it the traditional diet . People are inpatient and want to see quick results . It's a kick start . I would then go about changing a few things . I am going to try this see how it goes . I'll add loads more veg and change it up . If anything it will flush toxins out 🤣😀
I cant hear you…. speak up. Fr
I've been on the keto diet for 25 years… yes, I went on the keto diet before it became so popular and I lost 80+ pounds the first year and several more pounds the second year until I had lost all the weight I needed to lose. Also, I lost ALL of my health issues! So for the past 25 years I've not had so much as a cold or even a headache, even during the C0VID plandemic. I went on the cabbage diet for a week and lost 5 pounds (that I didn't need to lose) just to see how it works. Since I don't need to lose any more weight, I won't be doing the cabbage diet again, but I can tell you that it works… unless you go back to eating a rotten diet… which means you'll gain back the 5 pounds and more most likely.
The reason the diet says no bananas or potatoes is because these are VERY HIGH in carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are responsible for a lot of weight gain. The cabbage diet is NOT meant to last forever. It's a silly diet that will cause you to lose anywhere from 5 to 7 pounds in a week. After that week, you will gain back the weight and more . So if you're trying to slide into a prom dress, then GO FOR IT!!
I watched the whole vid, would you recommend substituting one meal a day with a bowl of vegetable soup, while having the two other meals be sensible and balanced? I used to keep my weight under control with 8hr a week of exercise, but some illness made it really hard. I can walk and bike, but only a few hours a week.
Honestly it’s pretty tasty it’s easy too I’d say it’s easy as keto I mean u have to put in work a diet isn’t going to be easy so the best option is just choose the easiest and also make sure u choose wat fits u
The 7 days plan itself is ridiculous but the soup? Some people make it ridiculous but you can actually make it all your body require in one bowl which is easy, no brainer, healthier, convenient, helps people to kickstart their diet which is a lifestyle change. Because there is a mental factor contributes to diet change.
In the end of the day this soup helps people to eat denser veggies which in the end much more than eating raw green salad or blended runny vegetable soup. My tips would be:
– Add some shrimp/white fish/tofu/chicken breast as protein to balanceout your daily requirement of macro and micro nutrient. Make sure you don’t lose concentration / pass out at work 😅
-Flavor variation through the soup base without changing the cabbage soup concept: goulash base, tom yum soup base, or japanese curry (onion, apple, curry powder), miso soup base
-Change one or two type of veggies such as mushrooms/zucchini/eggplant/greenbeans/etc
You can really play around with the recipe.
So ok, it’s alright to put on 5 pounds in a day but not so good if you lose 2 pounds a day. Honestly I did these diets and they made me so full of energy and healthy 🙌
Ps: as a Christian Jesus and his apostles all went through fasting without food for days. In fact the Bible says when you fast so it’s clear we’re expected to do so.
Perhaps incorporating the cabbage soup for the last meal of the day and eating sensibly the rest of the meals in a day might make it more manageable. I don't care if I lost weight but it would just be nice to become a little more healthy. Right now I am a sedentary person with back, knee, hips, and feet issues! It hurts to freaking move, but I need to change that! So exercising is an absolute must! I'm 60 years young but move like a much older person! It's ridiculous how bad I've gotten! I need to get motivated!!!
Please talk about keto
I lost 36 lbs on the cabbage soup diet in 2 months. I went from 196 to 165 and haven’t gone over 170 since. That thing at Walmart that you put your arm in said my bmi should be about 165 I laughed it off and said impossible but I had a high hypertension and decided through a doctor friend to become a vegetarian. I added lentils and tofu for some calories and protein. It helped me transition to a vegetarian diet. My advice would be if you want to lose weight do the cabbage soup diet but different variations of it for some added calories and protein and get an array of vegetables and add spices so it doesn’t get boring and get some in between healthy snacks like hummus, guacamole, salsa and add it to pita or bread. Learn to read labels and stick to whole grains
I think diets work for very few people. People who need rules. Most people do best with guidelines. For every one person who has sucessfully stuck to a strict diet for decades and it works there are hundreds of people who it doesnt work.
I love cabbage soup, don’t experience any unpleasant side effects (have cast iron digestion)but intermittent fasting is my method of weight control
I love Bananas, but my Diabetes doesn't! LOL!
Great info!!! You're not bashing the cabbage soup You're letting everyone know the expectations of what can happen!!! I really appreciate this info!!!!
