0:36 A lot of the products consist of active ingredients that will certainly surge your insulin very high
1:47 The biggest factor I don’t suggest them is as a result of the business’s doubtful honesty

I was asked if Slim Fast keto products are actually keto-friendly like the company declares they are. So let me stroll you via this.

The initial issue I have is with their ingredients. This is yet one more instance of why you always require to check out the tags! Most of the products have maltodextrin, which has a high rating on what’s called the glycemic index. Ball game is greater than table sugar. Talk regarding an enormous spike in insulin. And the FDA does not need business to factor in maltodextrin as a sugarcoated.

After that there’s dextrose and also pudding which likewise have very high glycemic index scores and will substantially elevate your insulin.

Soy and also canola oil are generally GMO with glyphosate deposit. Bad! For a power boost, they include high levels of caffeine.
In my viewpoint, these items are really poor quality, with lots of concealed sugars. They will certainly increase your insulin and I doubt they will certainly help you lose weight.

Successive, a number of these items are snack-based. We’re attempting to obtain individuals to do intermittent fasting so they aren’t elevating insulin so frequently. They suggest chips, bars, and power boosters. Steer clear of!

The most significant factor I do not suggest them is as a result of the firm’s doubtful integrity. They’re still generating their original products which consist of numerous grams of GMO beet sugar. We have a substantial epidemic of individuals consuming excessive sugar, bring about metabolic disorder, excessive weight, prediabetes, and insulin resistance. The huge question is are they actually attempting to help individuals since they recognize sugar is hazardous or are they simply tapping right into a trending market to make a big profit?

Now you understand why I don’t advise Slim Fast keto products.

  1. But if that’s all you’re consuming is two shakes a day and one whole healthy meal then the sugar in it levels out, right?

  2. I find eating two slimfast shakes a day and a small dinner is a whole lot more healthy than most of the processed food I ate during a week

  3. I glad for this video. I deeply respect Dr. Berg's opinions but I would imagine that anyone can try out how this product for themselves by just using it and measuring their ketone levels after.

  4. Sadly, I ate one of these bars after coming off of a fast and broke out in hives!
I will toss the rest of the bars out.
I got “taken in” by “KETO” on the label AND did not read the label’s ingredients.

  5. Shame on you Slimfast! Please consider changing your name to Slimefast.

  6. I don't completely agree here, I've been eating a bar for breakfast, a shake for lunch and various main meals such as omlette, steak, bacon, cheese, tuna etc and I've lost 7lbs in 11 days. For me Slimfast keto works. I have been drinking a mug of lemon, Cinimon, Cayenne Pepper, Honey, Ginger first thing and in the evening as it was suggested this drink burns fat. How true that is I don't know but all of this is helping my weight loss

  7. I just read the label on my SlimFast Keto Meal Shake and do not see any of the ingredients you pointed out except for Dextrose. I love this shake and have had very good results using it. No matter what the product is, there is always a nay-sayer to discredit it. The only thing truly safe to consume anymore is water . . . seems like everything on the planet is bad for us somehow. I don't consume this every day but it is my go to meal replacement when I need one.

  8. It will not work for everybody I take advice but I take my body advice more. My mom lost so much weight qnd these slim fast shakes helped her alot. So

  9. I would not count out all slim fast products. I have a bar here in front of me that has none of the things he mentions. Also uses peanut oil not canola oil. Only sweetener is stevia leaf extract.

Does not compare obviously to a natural whole food diet but not terrible.

  10. The product is different in different companies, and different between powder and pre-mixed shakes. The Keto shake powder in the UK, does not list maltodextrin or dextrose. Our equivalent of the FDA is not entirely toothless. We have higher food and health and safety standards in Europe. I can't prove it, but I suspect the confusion in the comments is that people are reading labels of the wide range of products, in different countries, and think they're comparing like to like, and they just aren't. Which is even more ethically dubious. However, the ethically dubious nature of selling the 'same' product at different quality levels in different countries, does not have any relation to whether or not a keto shake can be good, or a given version of it is good. Slimfast might very well be evil in the US, and want to be in evil in the EU, but end up just making better products and charging more for them because they're more expensive to make, as a result.

There's also been years between this video and the current products, so they might have changed some of their products.
