My mom has it and now I have it 🫤 my entire body is normal and has good shape but the tummy is round and big and yes it is inside or behind the abs not outside 🫤. I have to lose every bit of my extra weight and then I would lose that fat 🫤
Basically get to 12-14% body fat to lose visceral fat, luckily it's much easy to lose visceral fat compared to subcutaneous fat (the fat that jiggle and visible) as long as you combine walking 10k steps a day and lifting weight (progressive overload).

Restriction is the key to be ill. No less than 3000 calories for men and 2500 for women carb +protein+fat in the right amounts. If you restrict one you will overeat the others and not meet your body needs. You can not overeat when you do not restrict.

I always get a little bit nervous when doctors recommend hi fat diets. Reminds of the good old days when doctors recommended smoking.
There is only one thing that helps getting rid of viceral fat. Consistent calorie deficit. CICO. High fat will only raise your ketone levels and the doctors and nurses I know think that's bad.

There are different qualities of fat and different qualities of carbs. A plant based diet full of fibre rich carbs and SOME plant based fats, with SOME omega rich fish is WAAAY healthier than the typical keto diet.
Wonderful and very important information. Have been a strict carnivore eating only meat, eggs, butter, bacon, and a small amount of cheese occasionally with emphasis on fat consumption. I use bacon fat for most of my cooking, and pour the remaining fat over my fresh, sugar free sausage, eggs, or meat and fast between breakfast and dinner daily. I normally have breakfast about 9AM and normally make dinner after 10PM so fast roughly 12 hours daily.
Exercise daily and drink water or sugar free electrolytes normally a bit over 60-90 ounce. Have a BMI of 22 and take zero medicine at 66 years old. Walk or run frequently, and completely agree with your approach.
