Say what you want but I lost 35lbs on low carb and have kept it off 3 years now. I feel much better also.
i also tried this keto diet before switching to agoge diet since this actually didnt worked for me. however this is great but not for all
Sorry to hear so much ignorance in the name of science. Real Keto is not all that fat from butter and so on. It’s about % of calories coming from “good” fat as avocados, mtc oil, olive oil, olives, nuts, salmons and so on.
My experience: I never made it to loose fat and not muscle with a normal low fat diet, Mediterranean or zones or whatever. And it was suffering! With keto I almost never suffered, lost 10kg in 45days and didn’t loose not even a gr of lean muscle. Now I’m on a cyclic keto, with some more carbs from veggies and fruit. And I’m doing super fine. Also my triglycerides and acid uric went back to normal after the first week of keto. So, sorry, but this “study” here is not a serious one.
I’m not saying other diets don’t work, they just didn’t for me. Keto did.

This smells like bullshit. Lots of other factors are being left out în this attempt at demonising keto. There are soo so so many examples as to why carbs and processed sugars are pure poison. Both real life examples as well as studies. Thought this is something legit but another biased bullshit video. Doctors love carbs. They keep you sick and going back, only to have the symptomes treated. Never the cause. Keto aint a fat loss tool as much as it is a "fix yourself" tool. If done properly ofcourse. And im seriously going to look into these studies because I doubt they were being done properly.
The problem is maintaining that weight, if you just cut fat and eat carbs you´ll eventually regain the same amount of weight you lost

If keto doesn't work then it just wasn't for them, it's a good lifestyle choice, but you have to genuinely want to do it, also your videos a load of crap, everyone should watch Ken Berry for real information, he was skeptical but went along with it for a while and never looked back.
He forgot to mention an important aspect in Keto. Once in ketosis, your body burn fat while sleeping. Also, he forgot to mention that carbs (rice/bread/pasta etc) raises insulin in your blood stream, sending a messagz to your metabolism to store fat. In fact, Carbs turn in to sugar in your body which also makes you fat.
Low card diet in our era, is not a cash cow, there are thousands of honest nutritionists. Almost all of them tell you that in first few days you will lose water, and once adapted, in ketosis, then you will be losing fat.
Also, Keto alone doesn't work for most of people, including intermittent fasting is the key, and the more you stay on this diet the more you need tondecrease your fat intake to keep the results coming.
Very good and rarely so scientific review. Sorely needed I'd say. However, 2 days prior to my second keto period now I would argue a few things for keto. A keto d. eliminates soda and other "non-healthy carbs". A black-and-white approach like this may seem extreme at first glance, but for the same reason, it is easier for many people to adhere to it. We have a surge of super-carb diets now. And even if they by some chance indeed are more effective people need some "sins" right. We need some goodies to adjust for the lack of cookies and creams let's say. Therefore eating tender beef with bearnaise or chicken with low-carb vanilla cream for ex. is still possible with true ketosis (less than ~35-50g carbs a day). While on a super carb diet your "sins" would be more in terms of soda and the like which is arguably a worse "sin" right… Makes sense to me. With that said, not all shoes fits everyone 🙂
Human is evolved in a low carbohydrates diet environment. Most carbohydrates are added to our diet, in last 5 to 10 thousand years.
Sugare, bread, sweet fruits, and startchy vegetables didn't exist in east Africa, where humans evolved. Humans ate insects, fish, and meat. I m not a fan of any type of diet. Though I realised so many study groups concluded different outcomes from the same studies.
I think it's better we look into what our ancestors ate that helped us survive in that harsh environment and made us what we are now.
It's important to remember that long-term sustainability is key, and incorporating other healthy lifestyle habits, such as regular exercise and balanced nutrition, is essential for overall health and well-being.

LOL at this video!!! Diet gimmick lasting 60 years!
I’ve been on keto for over a year, more specifically, a lacto/ovo, vegetarian, Mediterranean keto diet. I have lost 25kgs but my sleep on 20-30g carbs a day was severely impacted. Adding carbs to 45g-50g day helped my sleep but it’s still not perfect. I have plateaued for about 3 months now with just 7kgs to go so am interested in trying a lower fat model to shift post-menopausal fat storage around my abdomen which had only marginally decreased during the diet.
You mention weight loss due to water loss but according to the highlighted article, that’s within the first week/ten days. How do you explain sustained weight loss on keto after over a year? I didn’t have nearly as much the recommended fat intake as I just couldn’t do it to myself in fact, I didn’t check my macro levels at all, just sticking to olive oil, grass-fed butter, cheese, avocado, walnuts, macadamia nuts, savoury fruits & vegetables & vegetarian protein sources keeping my daily carb levels to around 45g/day. Water loss in most diets is common in the first week – ten days. How is sustained weight loss on keto after three-six months explained?
