I reduced carbs to very low. I cut out sugar, potatoes, rice and pasta and processed foods, plus 16 hour fasting. I steadily lost 2lb per week, until I'd lost 3 stone. I seem to have plateaued, so I'm going to try some of these suggestions to see what happens.
