  1. blah blah not in nz Im not copeing and i jusgt took 4 with alchol after going and seeking hekp at at a gp in nz

  2. honestly, it all depends on the person.
I took a very small dose of floexitine back in 2011 for anxiety and just stopped taking them because my anxiety was manageable.
now here in 2024 I was put on 37.5 mg of venlaflaxine not for anxiety but for hot flashes and night sweats.
I started taking them on a Friday after work around 5pm because I prefer not to take it in the morning since I have to be alert working at a school with children. by Sunday I was already feeling a huge difference in the night sweats. my doctor told me within the first week I would start to feel better and surprisingly within a few days was a miracle. it does relax me in the evening is when I take it so by the next morning I’m well rested and have energy for work. Honestly taking it at 5pm it works like a sleeping pill because by 10pm I ready to get a goodnight sleep.
Every woman’s body is different so for some the medication may start to work within a week.
GOD knows I was suffering horribly the worst experience of my life!
I was fighting going to the doctor for a prescription after spending hundreds of dollars on herbal supplements.
Finally, I made up my mind to get help because it’s extremely embarrassing sweating profusely in room temperature or going outside in a hoodie when the weather is 3 below and everyone has thick winter coats on.

  3. I’m on Effexor for 4 years now and have gone from 37.5 to 187.5. I never really realised that this isn’t suitable for me until now. I get ‘high’ episodes. I sweat at the back of my neck if I’m in any way stressed, to the point where my hair would be soaking wet. I get itchy skin and several people gave commented on my ‘shake’. I’m anxious a lot and it doesn’t seem to be helping me. I am dreading withdrawal but I think in the long term it is the best thing for me.

  4. Is the term "black-box warning" meant to make sense to everyone? I've never heard that phrase.

  5. I stopped it cold turkey after being on 600 mg per day ( yes, 600 ), spent three days sleeping, with mood swings, stuttered when talking, had random mini panic attacks, and after a week these symptoms all resolved. I'm never taking Venlafaxine again, made me gain 40 pounds ( and that's the only "benefit" i got from it ). Useless substance ( for me )

  6. Really helped me, but even skipping one day can cause problems. After three days of missing the drug YOU WILL BE IN HELL. The withdrawal is unbearable.

  7. Tramadol is much better than Efexor because it saturates opiate receptors. Efexor is a poison made out of Tramadol & sold under Tramadol name. Entire USA Canada Tramadol doesn't exists, only poison Venloflaxine.

  8. Most psychiatrists are liars and do not tell you, but it is the truth in order to get money from their appointments. When you go to them, you have a phobia of something or a little stress, they prescribe medications for you and do not tell you, but about the consequences, and that you may develop new psychological diseases such as depression due to high doses of this poison, and they do not tell you. Go. Exercise is better for you than medications that can lead to death if you take a high dose, but they will get punishment from God for that.

  9. I started Venlafaxine 1 and a half weeks ago, I feel terrible sleep, I keep yawning all the time, feeling tired, headache, hand tremors

  10. Wtf i have panic attacks and anxiety and doctor gave me effexor, 37.5 mg for a week and then 75mg…i took the first pill today, but reading all this comments i m afraid to continue with it! My friend also is on effexor for a year and told me that worked very well for him …i dont know what to do

  11. Thank you for giving the facts about Effexor. People have a right to the receive correct information before they choose this drug. I was not. It was extremely difficult to get off of and I still do not feel normal. I regret taking it.

  12. This was the worst drug I’ve ever taken. For some it is helpful but I don’t know if the side effects are worth it. It was horrible and didn’t help my anxiety or depression. I went up to the max dose of 375mg and my legs would not shit jolt up in the air! I’d get the worst withdrawals if I didn’t take it in time. The withdrawal would start within an hour of when it was due to take. I had to keep extra pills in my car and in my bag just in case I didn’t get home in time or decided to go somewhere and could not get home to take them. I was all over the place and coming off them was hell. Diarrhoea, headaches, sweating and I felt like death. I mean good luck each medication works differently on each individual but shit I really wouldn’t recommend it as your first choice. Sertraline/zolorft is the best antidepressant I’ve tried, no side effects at all, no change to libido and no weight gain if anything weight loss and it doesn’t numb your brain so you feel like your a walking corpse!

  13. I went up to 450mg, though most of the time I was on 375mg. Withdrawals was really dangerous for me, as missing a couple doses made me super suicidal, and this essentially happenned EVERY time I had to go pick up new pills and forgot… so over a dozen times. Transitioning to another SSRI was the only way for me to stop it over time. Other side effects for me were insomnia and high hear rate. Venlafaxine + Wellbutrin was a really good anti-depressant for me, but the side-effects were eventually too much for me

  14. The brain zapps are an EXTREMELY minor symptom of withdraw compared to the other symptoms. If I miss one dose I'm extremely sweaty, foggy headed nauseous/vomiting, headache and diarrhea. After missing 2 doses I can't even get out of bed. My phychatrist never told me about these awful withdraw symptoms and had I known I never would have gotten on this medication.

  15. Venlafaxine gave me bipolar symptoms and I had no boundaries and dissociative behaviour. I also became a kleptomiac on them and hypersexual plus other things. Yes it took away my anxiety depression etc but I had to come off for the reasons stated

  16. «Some people»? «Some people have reported brain zaps….
Dont stop cold turkey, no matter what dose you’re on?
This just comes across as propaganda and one sided
